This week I'll be telling my landlady that I'll be moving to another b & b because she has started employing a Pole and his wife. She stands to lose a lot of money just because she went 'cheap'

Whatever the big sums paid by individuals that piss you and me off, tle, it's a structural issue here and immigration is just at the tip of the sordid iceberg.
There are a lot of frustrated people in any broadly successful open society like the UK is today. Only when it was less successful, the class struggle resonated and now pretty much the only thing you can get a raise on is immigration. But it's bollocks mate and the real problem is still the economic structure of relations of labour to capital.

Wong has a point but on the same hand the people who believes all the third world migrants are poor and downtrodden is being fooled.
Many pay bog suns of money to get to Europe Australia etc as they get told they will get a free ready made life handed on a plate.
